Columbia Writers is a group of dedicated writers and authors from all over Maryland. While many of our members focus on YA, kidlit, and children's genres, we welcome all genres. We meet regularly to exchange critiques of our writing, collaborate on writing projects, and host workshops or author meets. As a group, we've completed one anthology and are working on a second. The Clarksburg Literary Society began in 1879 and is back! The Academy was built in 1833 and was one of the first private institutions in Montgomery County.
